Endlich hat das Hundetraining begonnen!!! Morgens ist es kalt genug ( 6 Grad ) um 20 Hunde vor den ATV zu spannen.

Finally, the dog training has started!!! In the morning it´s cold enough ( 6 degrees ) to hook 20 dogs in front of the ATV.

Sommerarbeiten / Summerwork

Jörg hat sich eine super Sommerbeschäftigung gesucht; den Graben bei den Hunden von Schlamm befreien damit das Wasser besser abläuft. Damit er nicht alles alleine machen muss, hatte er tatkräftige Unterstützung von Sporhundens Hinault.

Jörg found a super summer employment, the ditch in the dogpen has to be free of mud so that the water can better run away. With that he does not everything alone, he has some active support of Sporhundens Hinault.

Nya ManMat-saker

Jag har fått in många nya ManMat-saker, så titta gärna omkring i kennelbutiken. Den 25. och 26. september är jag på mässan som Hakadal slädehundklubb anordnar i Harestua. Beställ nu till 1. september så kan jag ta med sakerna dit och så sparar ni in portot!

Kurzurlaub in den Bergen / Short trip into the mountains

Am Wochenende waren wir auf einem Kurztrip in den schwedischen Bergen. Freitag Mittag sind wir los gefahren und Samstag Nachmittags waren wir pünktlich zur Fussball-WM wieder zu Hause. Sporhundens Stijn durfte uns zusammen mit den zwei Haushunden begleiten. Sie musste zum Tierarzt und der ist auf dem Weg in die Berge in Slussfors. Malin und Tobbe, Freunde von uns, haben in der Nähe von Hemavan eine Hütte (eher ein Haus) gekauft und Jörg hat versprochen beim Renovieren zu helfen. Katy hat sich derweil die drei Hunde geschnappt und ist im Fjäll spazieren gegangen. Es war schöner als es auf den Bildern rüberkommt. Berge, Wasserfälle und Schneereste, was will man mehr? Dann haben wir auch noch überraschend lieben Besuch von Zdenka und Milan aus Tschechien bekommen :)

This weekend we went on a short trip in the Swedish mountains. Friday afternoon we drove off and Saturday afternoon we were in time for the World Cup back home. Sporhundens Stijn could accompany us with the two house dogs. She had to go to the vet and that is on the way to the mountains in Slussfors. Malin and Tobbe, friends of us, bought a hut near Hemavan (rather a house than a hut) and Jörg has promised to help with the renovation. Katy, meanwhile, has caught the three dogs and went for a walk in the mountains. It was more beautiful than it comes across in the pictures. Mountains, waterfalls, and snow remains, what more could you want? Then we also still getting a surprise visit from Zdenka and Milan from the Czech Republic :)

Hundeaktivitäten / Dogactivities

Am Wochenende hatten wir mit unseren Hunden eine Menge Spass - und wir hoffen auch sie mit uns...Dadurch das wir einen typischen lappländischen Sommer haben, können wir unsere Hunde morgens trainieren und nachmittags zur Abkühlung mit ihnen an den See gehen.

At the weekend we had a lot of fun with our dogs - and we also hope they had it in this way with us ... We have a typical Lappish Summer, we can train our dogs in the morning and in the afternoon they can cool down in the lake.

Leithundausbildung / Leaddog training

Da wir nur einen ausgebildeten Leithund (Shasta) haben der rechts und links kann, müssen wir uns jetzt im Sommer ein bisschen intensiver um unsere Junghunde kümmern. Ein Hund (auf dem Foto Tschmil [Cruella-Öre], 11 Monate alt) an den Bauchgurt und los geht´s! Dabei ist noch ein positiver Nebeneffekt, dass die Trainerin etwas für ihre Kondition tut...

Since we have only one trained lead dog (Shasta) who can right and left, we have to invest a bit more time now in the summer for our young dogs. One dog (on the photo Tschmil [Cruella-Ore], 11 months old) at the belt and go! And there still is a positive side effect that the coach is doing something for their condition ...

So, es hat nun wirklich lange genug gedauert, aber auch wir haben es endlich mal geschafft eine Webseite einzurichten und online zu gehen! Über unsere Webseite kommt Ihr hier auf diesen Blog und auch auf unseren Kennel-Shop wo wir Geschirre uvm. anbieten.
Wir werden Euch hier in mehr oder weniger reglmässigen Abständen über spannende oder auch weniger spannede Geschichten vom Flandriens-Husky-Kennel auf dem Laufenden halten. Im Sommer naturgemäss etwas weniger, dafür aber im Winter mehr.

So, it has really gone on long enough, but we have finally done it and set up a website to go online! Through our website you come here on this blog and also on our Kennel-shop where we offer harness and much more.
We will keep you here in more or less even intervals up to date about more or less interesting stories by Flandrien-Husky-Kennel. In the summer naturally a little less, but more in the winter.
